Just What The Plumber Ordered![]()
There is not much I can say about this product. It was exactly what we needed to repair our Sloan Flushmaster pressure flush tank. I purchased the cartridge removal/installation tool that Amazon recommended as well. The product arrived in just a few days and I was able to replace the cartridge within minutes. The old cartridge was quite tight so it took a little muscle to break it loose. I followed the installation instructions, which were printed on the exterior of the plastic bag that holds the replacement cartridge.
Be sure to check model numbers carefully before ordering a replacement cartridge for your Flushmaster pressure tank. There are different model tanks and therefore there are different cartridges for the different tanks. I am very happy with my purchase of this cartridge. The original (factory installed) cartridge lasted for about 6 or 7 years so I have high hopes that I will not have to worry about this again for another 7 years or so. Thanks, Amazon, for helping me get the part that I needed. =o)
Sloan Flushmate® announces the availability of its new flush valve cartridge that was designed to be quieter and require less handle torque than previous generations. The user will experience a much more conventional feel.
The new Sloan cartridge significantly reduces the actuation force required to flush, (1.5 lbs.), bringing it more in line with traditional gravity-fed units (3.5 lbs.). As a result, handle kickback has been minimized, extending the life of the assembly, and overall operation is much quieter due to a more “fluid” actuation.
“Often, people don’t appreciate subtle changes that manufacturers make in products, but in this case, our continuous improvement will be noticed by all customers who utilize this product,” said Scott Riggs, Consumer Service Manager. “Our commitment to customer satisfaction is ongoing, and lately, we’ve been hearing from our customers on the need for a more conventional feel to the handle mechanism. So we gave it to them.”
To ensure compatible retrofit and long-term reliability, the newly designed cartridge has been tested in all of Sloan’s urinals, including all previous series and on both push-button and trip-level fixtures. The new Flushmate cartridge also passed a battery of testing processes (including component durability, accelerated life cycle, abusive chemicals and variant water pressure, et cetera) and several months of field testing in various residential and commercial applications in a broad variety of climates and conditions across the country.
For simple identification, the new cartridge is differentiated with a high-contrast actuator cap instead of the original white/off-white actuator cap. The new actuator cap is black, as depicted in the photo. This new cartridge is the standard replacement for all existing systems.
As a supplier to leading toilet manufacturers, Flushmate technology has been embraced in both commercial and residential marketplaces due to superior performance and ability to conserve more water than any other water closet flushing mechanism.
The move toward water conservation has forever altered toilet performance. People continue to use old buying practices when selecting a toilet and become dissatisfied when their expectations are not met.
Sloan Flushmate pressure-assist technology offers the only true high-performance, low consumption alternative to meet consumer expectations. This is why every leading toilet manufacturer offers a toilet with the C-100500 inside. It’s also why you’ll find a C-100500 inside low consumption toilets in virtually every market, from hotels to schools to commercial buildings and in your home.
The Sloan Flushmate Pressure-Assist system is a component inside of a specially designed toilet that harnesses the pressure from the water supply line to provide the energy needed to complete the flush. The Pressure-Assist technology cannot be retrofitted into a standard, gravity-fed toilet.
In study after study toilets with the C-100500 inside emerge as the clear winner in water-closet performance.
The WaterSense label is used on toilets that are certified by independent laboratory testing to meet rigorous criteria for both performance and efficiency. Only high-efficiency toilets that complete the third-party certification process can earn the WaterSense label.
